CMN Champions is an international non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for 170 affiliated children's hospitals. Each year, these hospitals help 14 million kids. These kids suffer from all diseases and injuries including, cancer, AIDS, birth defects, accidents and trauma. In Fact, CMN children's hospitals help more kids each year than any other organization.
ASK-A-NURSE®
When you need easy access to information, ASK-A-NURSE® is another option. Anytime you want to learn more-about your child's health, your own health or a health topic in general-simply pick up the phone and call ASK-A-NURSE®. A registered nurse will answer your health-related questions, help you schedule and appointment or find a doctor, even send you written information on a wide variety of health topics. You can call any day of the week and any hour of the day: 234-5000 (in Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo) or toll free (800) 821-5167.
Poison Information Hotline
When you have a poison-related question—whether it's about storing household cleaners or something more serious, such as a family member coming into contact with a questionable substance—call the Poison Information Hotline toll-free (800) 222-1222.
Nurse Line
When your child is sick you need to know if a doctor's visit is necessary or how to treat the symptoms. At all Sanford locations, you can get advice from a pediatric registered nurse simply by picking up the phone and calling 2434. You can also call (701) 234-2434 from home. The service is free and available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays.

Kamp KACE (Kids Against Cancer Everywhere) is a special summer camp experience for children -- kindergarten through senior high school -- who have cancer. Brothers and sisters are also invited to attend. Kamp KACE is located Trowbridge -- 88 acres of beautiful forest, meadow and shoreline-is located just outside of Vergas, Minnesota, and 16 miles from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
The National SAFE KIDS Campaign is the first and only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury - the number one killer of children ages 14 and under.
More than 300 state and local SAFE KIDS coalitions in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico comprise the Campaign. Former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop, M.D., Sc.D., is chairman of the Campaign.
United Way of Cass-Clay has partnered with the Dollywood Foundation to bring the Imagination Library to Cass and Clay Counties. The purpose of this project is to get children ready to learn when they enter school. Children, ages 0-5, receive a new book mailed to their home that has been carefully selected for the child's age. The program is exclusive to children who reside in Cass and Clay counties and there are no income guidelines for children receiving books. Families can enroll their children by calling the United Way of Cass-Clay at (701) 364-0031 or by signing up online at www.uwcc.net. This program is made possible by people who sponsor a child by giving additionally through the United Way Campaign.
