Preventive Cardiology Clinic
Heart disease is a chronic, progressive disease process. This clinic focuses on assisting people with managing heart risk factors to prevent disease progression. Lifestyle education and medical management can go far in preventing future problems.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Sanford's Cardiac Rehabilitation Program offers supervised exercise therapy and education to people who have experienced a heart attack, heart surgery or have heart disease. The four-phase program works to meet the individual needs of each patient. There are also special exercise programs for patients with diabetes, arthritis and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Other outreach services are available, such as Heart Coaches, a telephone support program, and Faithfully Fit Forever, a church-based exercise program. Learn more.

Tobacco Cessation Counseling
Sanford's Tobacco Cessation Program helps people who smoke by offering individualized counseling sessions. Counseling is provided by respiratory therapists trained in Mayo Clinic's Nicotine Dependence Program. Learn more.
Diabetes Center
Because diabetes is often a risk factor in heart disease, we offer an outpatient, self-management program designed to help people with diabetes stay healthy and prevent future problems. Participants learn about medication, treatment, diet and monitoring blood sugar. Learn more.
Nutrition Therapy
Healthy eating goes far in efforts to prevent and manage heart disease. Sanford has a team of dietitians who meet with patients on an individual basis to design a heart-healthy food plan that meets tastes and goals. Mental Health
