Community Resources

Peer Support Programs

While patients learn a lot from our staff, some things are better learned from those who have been there before. Whether in the hospital or home community, patients find support groups to be a vital part of the care we provide.

Inpatient Support Group

Led by staff members from the rehabilitation team, this group meets twice a month and helps patients and their families make a successful transition back into the community.

Friendly Visitor Program

The Friendly Visitor Program puts patients in touch with someone else who has lived through a similar experience. Patients find that the opportunity to visit with someone who has made it through what they're now experiencing gives the healing process a real boost.

Support Groups

  • Survivors of Brain Injury
  • Survivors of Stroke
  • Coping With Challenge
